Anthros Chair review

The poster purchased their Anthros chair back in July and has been going back and forth between liking it, feeling unsure, and not really liking it, though there have been moments where they find it actually pretty comfortable. The main issue killing the chair for them is its rigidity—because of their ADHD, they often fidget and move around in their chair, trying to fight against the Anthros' stiffness. They sit about 8 to 10 hours a day, and while posture is important to them, comfort and movability are equally critical. They're really trying to like the chair but aren't sure if they should just fight through the rigidity or return it and get a different chair. They previously owned the Leap V1 from Crandall, which they describe as an absolutely lovely chair that they gave away, hence their switch to Anthros. They're considering both the Leap V2 and the Embody as potential alternatives.

Pros

  • Has moments of being actually pretty comfortable
  • Good for posture

Cons

  • Rigidity makes it difficult to move around and fidget
  • Conflicts with ADHD-related need for movement
  • Not as comfortable or movable as previous Leap V1
  • Uncertain whether it's worth fighting through the stiffness
