Herman Miller Mirra 2 review

The original poster is 6'2" (188 cm) tall, weighs 230 lbs, and has a long torso that creates fit issues with standard ergonomic chairs. They received the Herman Miller Mirra 1 for free but found the backrest terminates right at the middle of their shoulder blades, far too short for their torso length. When tilting back, the top rigid plastic halo frame digs directly into their shoulder blades, avoiding the hard plastic edge entirely. This forces them to hold their torso off the backrest, causing trapezius tightness and severe tech neck. The chair fundamentally fails to provide proper back support due to the torso-to-backrest height mismatch.

Cons

  • Backrest too short for long torso, ends at mid-shoulder blades
  • Top plastic halo frame digs into shoulder blades when reclining
  • Forces user to hold torso away from backrest
  • Causes trapezius tightness and severe tech neck
