Herman Miller Sayl review

This commenter doesn't own a Sayl but when they tried one at the local showroom about a month or so ago, they didn't recall the cylinder scraping the floor. They suggest checking where the friend bought it, as the cylinder should not move around or make contact when seated in the frame. They explain that basically what's happening is there's a gap between the cylinder's diameter and a hole in the chair, causing the friend's weight to push the cylinder to one side. They believe this is probably a manufacturing defect and not representative of what the original poster should be experiencing. They apologize for not being able to pinpoint what the specific problem could be, but hope the OP finds a solution.
