Herman Miller Aeron review

The commenter switched from a Herman Miller Aeron to the Steelcase Amia and found the Amia to be superior for their needs. They felt the Aeron was overrated and didn't live up to the hype, particularly finding it uncomfortable for extended sitting sessions. The mesh seat on the Aeron bothered them and they never felt truly comfortable in it despite its reputation. They much prefer the Amia's design and comfort level, finding it to be a better value proposition. The switch was motivated by persistent discomfort with the Aeron that never resolved even after an adjustment period.
