Nouhaus Ergo3D review

The poster bought a used Nouhaus Ergo3D hoping it would be easier than new, but found the experience worse. Their budget was around $450-500 and they wanted a good deal. After researching, they felt the used market was challenging. They eventually opened the box only to discover that one of the chairs (from a 2-pack) was 6-7 years old and looked heavily used, even documented on accounting sheets. The other chair was also old but the owner claimed both were only 2 years old and never replaced, which seemed like a major red flag. They feel buying used chairs is fraught with traps and that their inexperience made it impossible to detect issues beforehand. Now they're looking at new chairs again.

Cons

  • Bought used and received chairs that were 6-7 years old instead of 2 years as claimed
  • One chair was heavily used and documented
  • Seller was dishonest about chair age and replacement history
  • Used market is difficult and full of traps for inexperienced buyers
