Steelcase Leap V2 review
This user tried out what they believe is a brand new Steelcase Leap V2 yesterday for the first time at a showroom, and it felt like a somewhat disturbing experience. The chair felt rough when new, similar to how a brand new shoe feels stiff and uncomfortable before it's broken in. If the noise is coming from the chair slipping and grinding during adjustment, they believe it would likely be completely silent once everything settles in and the materials soften through regular use. However, if the sound is coming from backward cycling or a mechanical issue, they suspect it could be a more serious long-term problem.
Pros
- May improve after break-in period
Cons
- Feels rough and stiff when new
- Somewhat disturbing initial experience
- Potential grinding noise during adjustment
