Steelcase Leap V2 review

The reviewer bought a refurbished Leap V2 and has mixed feelings after several months of use. They find the seat comfortable and appreciate the build quality, but they struggle with the lumbar support, finding it too aggressive and unable to dial it down enough for their preference. The armrests are functional but they wish they had more range of motion. They're average height (5'10") and find the seat depth adjustment helpful. Overall, they think it's a good chair but perhaps overhyped, and they're not sure it justifies the high price point compared to mid-range alternatives. They haven't experienced the transformative comfort some others report.

Pros

  • Comfortable seat
  • Good build quality
  • Helpful seat depth adjustment

Cons

  • Lumbar support too aggressive and can't be reduced enough
  • Armrests have limited range
  • Expensive for what you get
  • Overhyped
