Steelcase Leap V2 review
The reviewer has used the Markus for many years and wanted an upgrade, so they bought the Leap V2 new a few months ago during a sale for $950, paying cash. After three months of use, they're suffering from chronic back pain for almost 15 years. They don't believe the Protoarc is worth it and doesn't feel good to them, noting it doesn't make them sit in a proper way and the recline is pretty bad compared to their old Markus. They feel the seat back of the Leap V2 feels like sitting on a stack of paperbacks, and the Leap V2 punches them in the hips if they don't sit up in it. They keep going back to the Markus because it's genuinely incredible when considering the price point, and while some people might find the Leap okay, they personally don't like it. They acknowledge the price is high but frustrating because it looks appealing and people claim it lasts 20 years, but they don't like the feel with the Markus comparison.
Cons

- Seat back feels like sitting on a stack of paperbacks
- Punches in the hips if you don't sit up properly
