Steelcase Amia review
An architect who spends long hours at a desk doing detailed work, this reviewer has used their Amia for about three years and finds it well-suited to their needs. The chair provides stable support that allows them to maintain focus without constant discomfort distractions. The lumbar support is essential for the long periods of hunching over drawings and models they sometimes do, helping them maintain better posture. The mesh back keeps them cool in their studio which doesn't have great air conditioning. They appreciate that the chair doesn't squeak or develop annoying noises even after heavy use. The wheels are smooth and allow them to move between different work surfaces easily. The only criticism is that the armrests can't go quite low enough for them to get close enough to their drafting table when doing hand sketching.
