Steelcase Amia review
As a person with scoliosis, this reviewer was searching for a chair that could accommodate their asymmetrical back support needs and the Amia has worked out well. The adjustable lumbar support can be positioned to provide more support on one side, which helps compensate for their spinal curvature. They worked with an occupational therapist to dial in the settings and it took several sessions to get it right. The chair has been helpful in managing their daily discomfort, though they still need to take breaks and do stretches throughout the day. It's not a miracle cure but it's significantly better than any other chair they've tried for their specific condition. The mesh back conforms to their spine shape without creating uncomfortable pressure points. They wish the lumbar adjustment had even more range for their unique needs.
