Steelcase Leap V2 review

All of their refurbished Steelcase seating uses brand new cushions built to OEM specs from the same foam manufacturer that Steelcase used prior to moving their production to Mexico. The Revolution Style Leap cushion is available as a standard option, and they offer an additional half-inch of foam for users who want extra padding that exceeds the standard thickness of the Leap pads. They explain that the cost including duties, taxes, and shipping for customers to ship the replacement pad kit up to Canada prices out the option for most customers. Because of the exchange program where customers get a credit for returning their used seat pad and seat sliding mechanism, it becomes the cost even more prohibitive. They wish this wasn't the case but that's why they stopped shipping the kits to Canada.

Pros

  • Uses brand new OEM-spec cushions
  • Offers Revolution Style cushion option
  • Can add extra 1/2 inch of foam padding
  • Exchange program gives credit for old parts

Cons

  • Shipping to Canada too expensive due to duties/taxes
  • No longer ships kits to Canada because of cost issues
