Autonomous ErgoChair Pro review

This commenter, who is 6' tall and similar in height to the original poster, strongly advises against spending $300 on the Autonomous Ergochair Pro. They explain that this chair is not in the same league as Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Humanscale, Anthros, or Libernovo brands. They emphasize that HM and Steelcase chairs have great build quality and can last many, many years, with designs and materials that allow a good balance between flexibility and support. They warn that most cheaper brands are either too hard (doesn't flex) or too soft (body will sink in like sitting in a sofa). They strongly recommend that HM and Steelcase are much safer picks, especially the Leap V2 with lumbar support manually removed. They advise that unless the poster has exhausted options from those six premium brands and is 100% sure none of them fit, there's no point looking into a used chair outside of that range.

Cons

  • Not in the same league as premium brands
  • Poor build quality compared to HM/Steelcase
  • Won't last as long as premium brands
  • Either too hard or too soft
  • Doesn't offer good balance of flexibility and support
