Herman Miller Embody review
The user purchased the Herman Miller Embody specifically to address chronic lower back pain that had been aggravated by years of poor seating. After four months of daily use, they report mixed results. The chair's backfit adjustment and pixelated support system are innovative and do provide good spinal alignment. The seat is comfortable and the build quality is excellent as expected from Herman Miller. However, they found that the chair didn't eliminate their back pain as they had hoped, though it didn't make it worse either. The forward tilt mechanism is awkward and they rarely use it. At the premium price point, they expected more dramatic improvement in their back issues. They're continuing to use it but feel somewhat disappointed given the investment and high expectations based on reviews.
