HON Convergence review
This reviewer has extensive firsthand experience with the HON Ignition chair at their workplace. They describe the seat as thick, broad, and offering deep cushioning that provides all-day support initially. However, the chair starts out quite firm with a strange crunchy sound, though it breaks in after several weeks and becomes silent and reasonably soft. The seat uses an unfortunate kinda bad material that feels soft but isn't very durable. They particularly love how flexible the frame is, comparing it favorably to Zody and Mirra, and praise the mesh as perfectly springy and superior to Zody while on par with Aeron in many respects. The major problems are the intrusive and hard lumbar pad that can only function as a belt-line pelvic support, and a backrest that's too small in coverage. The backrest also has the smallest amount of tilt adjustment the reviewer has encountered, and it causes severe discomfort in the lower back by forcing the pelvis to turn back and creating a slouch position. The reviewer finds this extremely frustrating because they like the arms and many other features, but the combined backrest and seat cushion issues are deal-breakers. As a point of comparison, a coworker has been using an Amia Airs comfortably after the reviewer gave them their Ignition.
