Herman Miller Mirra 2 review

This person tested both the Mirra 2 and Leap V2 side by side at a showroom. They found the Mirra 2's mesh back more breathable and cooler, which appealed to them initially. However, the Leap's padded seat was noticeably more comfortable during the 30-minute test sit. The Mirra felt more suited to someone who shifts positions frequently, while the Leap felt better for sustained sitting. The Mirra's butterfly back support was interesting but didn't provide the same targeted lumbar support as the Leap. They ultimately chose the Leap for their home office but could see the Mirra working well for others, particularly those in warmer climates or who prefer mesh.

Pros

  • Mesh back more breathable and cooler
  • Good for people who shift positions frequently
  • Interesting butterfly back support

Cons

  • Less comfortable seat than Leap during testing
  • Doesn't provide same targeted lumbar support as Leap
  • Less suited for sustained sitting
