Herman Miller Embody review

A user with scoliosis shares their experience using the Embody to manage their condition. They have a significant spinal curve and have struggled with most chairs that have traditional lumbar supports, which tend to push unevenly on their asymmetric back. The Embody's flexible backrest has been much better for their situation, as it conforms to their spine rather than trying to force it into a standard position. They can sit for much longer periods without the sharp pain they experienced with previous chairs. However, they note that the chair isn't a cure and they still need to take regular breaks and do physical therapy exercises. Their specialist approved of the chair as a supportive seating solution. The price was difficult to justify initially, but the improvement in their daily comfort has made it worthwhile. They wish they'd invested in it sooner.
