Herman Miller Aeron review

This user has access to both the Herman Miller Aeron and Steelcase Leap V2 in their office and has used both extensively over the past year. They find themselves preferring the Leap for its cushioned seat, which is more comfortable during long sessions than the Aeron's mesh. The Leap's lumbar support is more adjustable and can be fine-tuned to their preferences, whereas the Aeron's lumbar felt less customizable. However, they acknowledge the Aeron is more breathable and cooler, which is nice in their warm office. For pure comfort and support, they give the edge to the Leap, but they appreciate the Aeron's temperature management. They note it's very much a personal preference and both are high-quality chairs.

Pros

  • More comfortable cushioned seat for long sessions
  • More adjustable and fine-tunable lumbar support
  • Better overall comfort and support

Cons

  • Less breathable than Aeron
  • Not as cool in warm environments
