The poster explains they were able to try so many chairs because they bought them all used from Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace at significant discounts, sometimes for as little as twenty-five percent of retail price. They would use each chair for a while, then resell it for roughly what they paid or sometimes even a small profit. They note this only works if you're patient with finding deals and have space to store a chair while selling the previous one. Living in a major metro area with lots of office furniture turnover helped significantly.
