Herman Miller Embody review
The poster previously owned an Embody and directly compared it to the Cosm. They found the Embody seat to be perhaps slightly more comfortable than the Cosm, which they note is the only area where it wins. However, the Embody's recline system was a major drawback—it always made noisy plastic scrunching sounds when reclining, and despite the technical recline and lumbar adjustments available, they never felt fully comfortable in it. The main complaint about the Embody is its recline tension adjustment, which uses a knob system that the poster found less intuitive and effective compared to the Cosm's weight-responsive system. After spending time with both chairs, they ultimately preferred the Cosm and decided to list the Embody for sale instead.
