Herman Miller Embody review

This commenter owned an Embody for 9 months and absolutely loved it at first, calling it the best chair they'd ever sat in. However, after about 9 months of daily use for 8+ hours, they started experiencing lower back pain. They discovered that the chair's backrest had developed a noticeable lean to one side, causing the issue. When they contacted Herman Miller about this defect, the company refused to help because they had purchased it from an unauthorized seller on Amazon rather than directly from Herman Miller. The lack of warranty support left them frustrated and stuck with a defective chair that cost them significant money.
